Projects
All departments can supervise projects in their research labs. INSA Rennes offers three possibilities for a full semester:
- 10 ECTS (1,5 day per week)
- 15 ECTS (2,5 days per week)
- 24 ECTS (4 days per week)
Two students can work on the same project, report and defense.
Active partnerships in 50 countries
With more than 150 agreements in 50 countries, INSA Rennes offers numerous exchange possibilities. In addition to bilateral agreements and international partnerships in the INSA Group, the school participates in three specific exchange programs: FITEC (Argentina, Brazil, Mexico), BCI - Bureau de Coopération Interuniversitaire and ERASMUS + (Europe).
Other exchange programs
South America: FITEC programs
Agreements have been signed by the INSA Group with numerous universities in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. These intergovernmental programs enable engineering students to undertake one or two semesters of study, possibly followed by an internship, in one of the INSA Group’s partner colleges.
Quebec : BCI program
An agreement has been signed with BCI - Bureau de Coopération Interuniversitaire to encourage engineering student exchanges between INSA Rennes and over twenty partner universities in Quebec.

Europe: ERASMUS + program
Some 60 bilateral agreements exist between INSA Rennes and partner universities in 20 European countries enabling students to study for a semester or a full year at a foreign university. Student exchanges are based on the number of places available per specialist area.
