A rich and dynamic community life

Campus life is very lively, with more than 60 student clubs and associations and numerous cultural and sporting events. INSA Rennes supports student associations and initiatives such as Rock'n Solex, the 2nd largest music festival in Rennes.

The INSA Rennes Students' Association (AEIR)

Created in 1967, the AEIR ("Amicale" in French) is the association of student-engineers at INSA Rennes. With more than 1,100 members, its aim is to organise activities and events on campus and to create links with other associations in Rennes, students from other INSAs and alumni.

The association has 3 sections:

High-level sport

National high-level athletes can combine engineering courses with their high-level sport practice, according to the constraints of their sport training and competition programme. They benefit from a personal support: tutoring, studies arrangements, sport training at school in addition to sport club, etc... INSA Rennes has been awarded the SHN label for its actions and commitment to support high-level athletes.

Sport Association (AS in French)

The AS gives engineering students the opportunity to practice sport at a recreational or recreationally competitive level. It is a great way to have fun, meet people and participate to university championships. It also organises various events, including the French Grandes Ecoles Championship and the Run INSA Orange.

The sports association also runs the INSA Shop, the official INSA Rennes shop!
