M2 Chemistry of solids and materials (CSM)  

The M2-CSM is aimed at students with a good knowledge of solid state chemistry, inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry. It aims to:

• train researchers and engineers for the materials sector;
• strengthen skills, from the synthesis of new compounds to the development of existing materials with a view to optimising their properties;
• develop a wide range of skills in materials analysis and characterisation techniques;
• prepare students to pursue doctoral studies in the Master's host laboratories or in major national and international groups;
• facilitate professional integration at a high level of qualification.

Terms and conditions of access

This course is aimed at students with:

• Master 1 in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Materials Science or Physical Science;
• 2nd year of a Master's degree in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry or Materials;
• 2nd year at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs in Chemistry or Chemitry-Physics;
• 4th year of the INSA engineering course, specialising in GPM;
• equivalent diploma obtained in France or abroad.

Expected

Candidates must have skills in the scientific disciplines of chemistry, physical-chemistry and materials science. They must also have in-depth work and organisational skills.
